1 of 3: After hearing news of Ray Dalio betting $1.5bn that the markets would precipitously fall next year (though now denied), I started to think back to the GFC where the value of all my investments were obliterated. I also faced redundancy in my "secure career."

2 of 3: In hindsight, I am happy for all the setbacks during & since, for I am the happiest I have ever been. I would bet that others who rose to the challenge are also happy in their new alternative careers.

3 of 3: Failure is a great teacher & rewards those that rise to the challenge; lions are apex predators but as cubs, they must first learn from failure--only then can they do what they were meant to do. If not, they get eaten.
