If the ST is Pride&Prejudice with lightsabers, AND YOU KNOW IT IS, then Ben isn’t going to save Rey, he’s going to save someone she loves. Remember, Darcy doesn’t save Elizabeth, he saves Lydia.

Elizabeth is flawed, but mostly whole, not in need of saving. Rey, too, has her shadow to integrate, but I highly doubt she’ll get into too tight of a scrap. She doesn’t need “saving,” that’s for her to do for herself. Lydia on the other hand is immature and downright selfish-

Thoughtlessly getting herself into a situation which she could never solve herself in a hundred years. Darcy integrates his light side by serving someone other than himself, someone pitiful who might even deserve their troubled fate.

So now my only question is: who in the ST is mostly good, but just naive and selfish enough to get in over their head? Who is Lydia?
