Alright, here's a thread with tips for all the new streamers coming into the twitch poker game with the new #DareToStream Challenge hosted by @GJReggie & @pyefacepoker together with @PokerStars.

First of all; I'm inceredibly happy to have all of you new guys and girls with us.
I may know some of you, some of you may know, there may be some twitch veterans taking part in the challenge, but there are also definitely going to be some new guns out there attempting to stream for the very first time!

If you don't know me, let me introduce myself real quick
My name is Gilles but I am better known as "Ghilley" in the twitch poker streets. I'm 20 years old and I've been playing poker since I turned 18, playing full time for about a year now in between studies, and I've been streaming for about that same time.
I've been around twitch poker for 2 years before I started streaming myself, and I've watched hours upon hours of streams even before starting to play poker myself. I've been lucky enough to just hit my biggest goal just yet: 1.000 followers. I've already learned lots so far
but I'm still doing a lot of things wrong in my opinion. There's so many things to keep in mind as a streamer, so many sacrifices you're making.

If you think you're going to be a streamer that wants to stick in there for the long run, I have one key word for you.
C O N S I S T E N C Y

I can not stress this enough, there's been periods where I was a little more absent from twitch, but EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I put in the consistent grind, the work, the long hours, I immediately saw results. Keep that in mind when you start off!
If you are starting out right now, you're in an INSANE spot. You are about to start your journey with 10s of other streamers, hell, maybe even 100s of other people that are likeminded! The NUMBER ONE THING you owe to yourself, is to network as much as possible.
Meeting others on twitch poker, being active in their chat, replying to their posts on social media, interacting with eachother, there is NOTHING more powerful than a coherent network of individuals that support eachother as much as possible. Single viewers will find individual..
..streamers on twitch when they're looking through the directory, but by making sure you connect with others, interacting with others, you ensure that they do the same to you and with a few clicks, ANYONE can get from someone's post you shared or liked, or replied to, TO YOU.
There is nothing better than genuinely supporting others that are likeminded. I understand it's a competition, and people are going to be competetive, but that's not the right mindset going into this competition. This spot you're in right now, being able to start off a stream...
... and by people checking out the hashtags on social media, browsing the twitch directory, Im sure also the stars channels along with Reggie & Pye sharing content from you guys, you've got the chance to start of your streaming journey backed by an amazing community RIGHT NOW.
So interact with eachother as much as you can, I will definitely be doing as much as I can on my stream with my "already bigger" 1K channel, checking out as many of you as I can and hosting you. Make some connections with others, help eachother out!
If you end up not winning the challenge, you've created an amazing community for yourself and that's an insanely nice opportunity for people thinking about the long run. CONNECT.

Now, after fixing your mindeset going into this, let me show you how to set up your stream:
With setting up your stream, I meant, let my buddy @Karlencho over at @KarlenchoProd explain it to you.

This channel, all the video's on there and on his website + on his other socials are ALL you really need to start off with a HIGH QUALITY STREAM!
Follow all the tutorials you find on there, it's an insanely high value library of tutorials that should set you guys up, Karlencho was one of the first streamers I started watching, and he's always supported me as well so let's return that favor (Recurring theme here *wink*)
There even are some templates on his website for streaming overlays!

In terms of equipment: It really doesn't matter. If you put your heart into this, if you're entertaining, if you GRIND, ANYONE can win.
I want to see as many of you out there in the coming weeks alright? Let me know if I've helped you out with this thread, tweet at me, join my stream and show me what you're doing. I'll be interacting with as many of you as I can, let's cause a poker directory explosion on twitch!
You can follow @Ghilleyyy.
