There are a ton of Indian people on Kauai this week.

Can’t tell if they are all from the mainland, or whether it’s easier to fly here from India all of a sudden.

Prior to this week, I could have counted on one hand the India tourists I’ve seen here before.
I’m gonna make fun on Indian tourists, because it is fun to make fun or tourists.

The ones from India ALL have two kids. Precisely two.

The dads ALWAYS have a backpack.

Like, a rugged, REI-purchased backpack.
The moms wear 3/4 length pants, even though it’s 80 degrees.

Dads often in button up shirts.

I’ve literally never seen an Indian tourist in a tank top.

Their kids wear so much sun protection, it’s like they are fully clothed.
I will say, this year’s crop of Indian tourists seem happier with their adventure than previous ones.

It seems they’ve been informed ahead of time that it would be dirty.

Really, though, I think it’s just a sign that upper middle class suburban Americans now are fairly Indian.
I’d bet that nowadays Mercer Island (nice suburb) Seattle is at least half Asian.

Not good or bad. It just is.
I’ve been harsh on Indian tourists in the past, because quite honestly, they’ve been f*cking rude.

But these new ones seem very Americanized.

They still don’t let their kids play Tarzan on rope swings.

But it’s a matter of time.

They will be decadent soon enough.
