I'm so fucking tired of white ppl going on and on about how much "respect" they have for japanese culture before appropriating the shit out of it, telling me my traditional food is "unappealing" and "disgusting", and shutting out any actual jpn descendant voices
yeah you're really showing a ton of respect by shitting on all of traditional home cooking, only wanting to make "stoner combinations" of my food so you have some sort of flavor, and making "japanese inspired" shit while crapping on anything jpn ppl actually make
"don't get me wrong, legitimate representation is important but..."

how about you learn the spirit of the dishes and respect what ppl have to say to help you instead of endlessly wanting to "fix" and change stuff
how about stop whining about tradition when im trying to fucking teach you the elements of the cuisine and what basic aspects make up certain dishes
"bu bu but can i add chicken to my miso soup"

why are ppl so intent on not appreciating food and ingredient palates different from theirs

don't talk to me about authentic jpn food if you don't want to make actual jpn food
