They're right, it was really bad especially around anti semitism. Why couldn't Corbyn just admit they got it wrong instead of coming out with boiler plate positions?

How on earth has Labour ended up in this position? https://twitter.com/rowlsmanthorpe/status/1199397923836047363
My background is in brand and corporate, not political, communications, but in that #AndrewNeil interview he looked like a corporate boss of the kind I've seen all too often:

One who is caught out by a crisis & sticks to 2D talking points without showing empathy or understanding
From a comms point of view I'd say this. When a crisis hits, you need to show you understand the problem (and really understand it, not just reel off boilerplate messages), you need to show empathy with people who have been affected, where appropriate you need to say sorry 3/
You want to start defusing the issue, so it doesn't follow you around or even grow.....which is what is happening here. Much of the response I've seen from Lab activists today is wrong - blaming the motives of the accusers, shifting the blame on other parties or the media etc 4/
I don't think Corbyn personally is anti-semitic. I do think he is an old school Cold War Leftist who is stubborn. That's why Loach got a starring role at a Lab event. Doesn't matter if he's controversial, he's an old comrade who fought the good fight against the imperialists 5/5
