1) #MumbaiAttacks Thread-A TRUE ACCOUNT
Friends I havent spoken abt this all along as it brings back d terrifying moments when Aamchi Mumbai was attacked & terrorised for days but now I think I must pen this down & let ppl know what it was to b so close but thankfully so far...

2)On that horrid night I was with a colleague & 2 clients from overseas at a nearby Club when suddenly around 10 he got a call from his daughter saying 'gang war at Leopold Colaba' which is close to where he used to live-within 30 mins reality struck that it was a terror attack..

3)B4 it could sink in we heard loud explosions in the distance & they seemed to come fm VT direction & then we heard that Taj & Trident wr attacked

Everyone in the club was stunned & our ba!!s froze at the thought that a massive terror attack was happening right where we were..

4)My mind immed raced to the fact that if these terrorists have mapped these places perceived as "elite" perhaps they might just enter the club & I immed got the security to switch off all the lights to suggest there was no1-our guests & some ppl started getting out in groups....

5)By then news came that it was really bad & that there were attacks at Metro MarineDrive CamaHosp & what not-this meant there was no way out of the club till ???

Mobile networks were choking-family was tense but somehow by Gods Grace I connected & could tell them we wr safe....

6)We were all huddled terrified in the club wt one small TV being the only source of light & info for all of us & then came the news of one Terrorist killed at Chowpatty but Taj & Trident were still under seige-it was 4 AM by then & ppl were nervous as hell & restless as well ...

7)Every1 wanted to go home & then saying a we left in groups-I had my car so I offered to drop my colleague to Colaba much to his reluctance bcs Chabad Hse Colaba was also under seige-but there was no cab-luckily we got 1 at KalaGhoda & the cabbie was relieved he had company...

8)I turned around & started driving back-near Babulnath on MarineDrive I see a massive barricade of cops with snipers-my worst fears started coming to me from all those hollywood movies & I immed slowed down-got windows down & switching engine off let car slowly reach them ....

9)I had my wallet & phone on d dashboard & hands up in the air bcs there was so much uncertainty fear & paranoia in the air that I wouldnt blame the cops for taking a shot at a fast approaching car

Slowly my car halted-I spoke in Marathi-hands still up-nervous but not showing it

10)They checked my ID & then eased up a little-It seems no or few cars that had passed that way after the Chowpatty encounter of Kasab & they were indeed on high alert & license to shoot

They asked me to quickly move on as there was no telling what would happen ....

11)Then came d worst part as d day dawned & strtd getting horror stories about ppl u know directly/indirectly trapped/killed etc

It took several nights before I could sleep properly & still believe there were more terrorists or there was a Jaichand involved (Darkha Butt apart)

12)Finally-Mywith the victims & their families & thanks to God for having me back home safe wt mine

Jaichands who helped in plotting this as they did wt Mumbai Blasts will eventually face their Karma

Right now thnx to NaMo we hv had a terror free India for 5 yrs-God bless him
