WHAT TO GET FOR CHRISTMAS: PIGEON'S VIDEO GAME RECOMMENDATION THREAD.

yes i understand the irony here

we'll start with games i've play/played and then move on to Just Good Games
first up in no particular order
Red Dead Redemption 2
Did you enjoy driving to destinations while NPCs talk to you constantly? Well now you can ride a HORSE and do that DOZENS of times. At least the gameplay, story, graphics are great, and online is fun.
Retail: $60
KINGDOMS AND CASTLES. RTS game where you build up your kingdom and defend from enemies. Cute as fuck, check it out. Best part is ongoing development by the devs who actually care about their game. 10/10.
Retail: $10
WARFRAME. "Free to play" but you will cash out on the value of the game by buying cosmetics. I have 600 hours in this game because you play as a biomechanical robot ninja across the solar system, thousands of years into the future.
Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
40$ retail but you'll be buying DLC, 25$ for the expansion pass. This game is a masterpiece. Gameplay, story, play as handsome man in a fantasy setting you will fall in love with.
VISCERA CLEANUP DETAIL. A rare game on Steam with overwhelmingly positive reviews. It's 12 bucks and you're a janitor cleaning up after the battles have ended. Chill game with some puzzles. Love it!
DARK SOULS 3. Holds up still at a 60$ price w/ a $25 season pass. This game is actually great for anxiety/depression. It gives you challenges that you can solve thru determination and learning. 7/10 fashion. Bonus: I'll help you out on tough bosses!
Bioshock: The Collection.
Bioshock is legendary for its story and tense gameplay. It's not for the faint of heart. If you brave these games, you'll be rewarded by an excellent experience on each one, be it 1,2, or Infinite!
Assassin's Creed: Origins / Odyssey.
Don't buy these games full price. You will get approx 40 hours in before boredom, so buy them on sale for around 40 bucks. They're great games and very fun, but suffer from repetitive mechanics and stale gameplay. 7/10 on each.
Deep Rock Galactic. You're a dwarf mining for minerals, but watch out for GIANT ALIEN BUGS. Not for the cave-phobic. Best enjoyed with 1-3 friends.
The DISHONORED franchise! Still great. Pop into Dishonored for a great story, amazing mechanics, and challenging levels. Costs $40 for Dishonored 2, but collections run higher. You're a supernatural assassin bent on revenge. What more is there to say?
ELITE:DANGEROUS. It's Space Trucker Simulator. Start in a tiny ship and work your way up through various paths, be it trading, combat, or exploration! Good space sim. And by that I mean there's a lot of space. A lot if it. 30 bucks.
