1/ I just read Vernon Unsworth's Trial Brief, signed, of course, by his lead trial counsel, @LLinWood. Link at the end of this thread. $tsla $tslaq

2/ Most of the short brief is for legal argument about whether subsequent acts & statements by Musk (listed here) are admissible to prove malice. Both sides are briefing this intensely as Musk is desperate to keep from the jury his "child rapist" accusation in email to @RMac18.

3/ However, Wood's brief begins with 2 serious brushback pitches. 1st, he warns that if Musk tries even once more to claim "pedo guy" did not mean pedophile, then he should be sanctioned by having liability defense tossed, with the matter referred to US DOJ for criminal perjury.

4/ 2nd, the Wood/Unsworth brief drops a pretty stunning footnote:

5/ That's a warning not only to the sociopathic, narcissistic, & mendacious Musk, but also to his intensely smarmy, smug, & arrogant lead trial lawyer, Alex Spiro.

6/ Anyway, the key focus here is the evidentiary fight over the @buzzfeed emails between Musk & @RMac18. If Musk loses that battle, and still decides to go to trial rather than stroke a big settlement check, then he's a far braver soul than I am.
