So, thinking about how the LAMBOT refusing to make any additional concessions, I have a theory.
In summary, she has given into the original demand (The “Bill”) after months of protests, blood, sweat, tears and pain from 000s if not 000,000s of Hong Kongers.

My theory of why she refuses to give into the other 4 demands is simple – she is being/has been put under extreme pressure by the HK police (primarily the junior police officers association) who seem to be able to weld extreme power on the government and judiciary.

The treat – if we look back in time at the HK police, where they have been cornered by their own corruption and criminal activities (ICAC investigation 1977), they threaten violence, mayhem and destruction through absolute force to get their own way.

So the remaining 4 demands
1)I can imagine an outcome where an independent investigation is allowed which exposes their violence and corruption in the public domain. This would be impossible for them to accept and they would react like they did during the 1977 ICAC fiasco above

2)The CE resigns and a new appointee allows an investigation – see point 1
3)Arrested by not convicted persons would be set free – see point 1
4)Universal suffrage – a legal vehicle which could hold them to account – see point 1

So in short, I see the HK police are pulling the strings to stop anything else happening to avoid any possibility of an independent investigation as the repercussions on their disgraceful, appalling and violent behaviour

will become blindingly obvious both in HK and internationally and the govt are shit scared of them and this happening.
I have heard of crazier theories but right now it does not seem far from reality.
