1. Last week @helenadalli launched the @EU_Commission
Task Force on Equality which is a great achievement. However, the Task Force is not truly representative of the diversity of Europe and fails to include - those at the heart of its work. https://twitter.com/helenadalli/status/1197216616381124609
2. Our bureau wrote to @vonderleyen and @helenadalli
to express their concern but also highlight the lack of representation is because of the @EU_Commission recruitment policies. The Commission is not really serious about improving diversity.
3. We believe there needs to be a Task Force on Workforce Diversity. As @vonderleyen has said "We cannot afford to leave any potential behind." The @EU_Commission
should listen to its incoming President. It is now time for action, and not just words
4. An example in practise: The @EU_Commission didn’t think it was worth asking their ownstaff about race, ethnicity, religion or belief discrimination in the workplace. The staff clearly know better by ticking “Other” as the most serious problem @POLITICOEurope @JenniferMerode
