It seems almost like yesterday we were welcoming a new year. And now, we've got a little over a month left. Wow! As we prepare for 2020, there are a few things that ARMYs should strongly consider leaving behind.
This list, which may or may not be shady as hell, includes some helpful suggestions for people and things we should totally leave in 2019 and cease to give a damn about in the new year.
1. K-pop (media play, failed stans, and flop shade)
I already created an entire thread about why we should mute the word in 2020: https://twitter.com/sweetbtstea/status/1191556803630419968

Despite the continued attempts to tie BTS and ARMYs to that genre, it's been very obvious that what we achieved was often in spite of the label, and without the help of pretty much any fandom related to K-pop. If anything, we're only used for clout at this point.

2. The fraud formerly known as "Emoblackthot"
ICYMI: This person passed himself off as a dark-skinned black woman, to the point of trying to explain body issues to young girls.
After gaining the confidence of so many black women, he hoped to launch a major career off that lie.

It doesn't matter to me that this person ever had a kind word for BTS or ARMY. You don't get to hypocritically exploit the confidence of hundreds of thousands of people for profit.
No, sir, we don't know you.
Bye.

3. Delulu shippers
I know some of you are telling yourself that Tae only sank *one* ship when he all but told an embarrassingly entitled fangirl to stay in her lane. However, it's painfully obvious some people are in this fandom for the WRONG reasons.

When you're pressed enough to leave a fandom because a member sinks your "ship," that says so many things. And none of them good. Anyway, I hope we will be leaving the delulu shippers (and solo stans) behind in 2019.

4. The Vague Music Awards, Paid-Off Choke Awards, and Kardashian Network
They can hold hands under the pile of dust that ARMYs intend to pay them in 2020, and that's all I have to say on that.

5. Manager antis
While the rest of us are over here buying, streaming and, you know, focusing on BTS, these people seize on every opportunity to bad mouth BH and float conspiracy theories.
It's tiresome, divisive, and ultimately does nothing to help BTS.

Rather than give these people the clout they so desperately want, we need to tune them out and focus that much more on the actual fandom and BTS.
Besides, it's clear that some people are very likely shills or antis, and as such, have nothing worthwhile to offer anyway.

6. The Haggard Retcher
Their rag had the chance to interview BTS for a cover story and blew it on a delusional bigot who honestly believed he introduced the group to "99.99% of the public."
Even worse, it wasn't the first time they made their disdain towards BTS known.

I'm not interested in a third strike. We need to keep the same energy towards them in 2020 that we did when nobody bought their magazine.
I don't know them. Never knew them. Y'all hear somethin?

7. Fear
As disappointing as certain outcomes were in 2019, I'm not going to sit here and act like we didn't snatch this year bald as a fandom.
When you compare the struggles in 2017 to what we've achieved as a fandom just two years later, it's VERY clear how much we've grown!

We're out here trending BTS' entire discography just because we feel like it.
There was a time when we struggled to get singles and albums into the Top 10 anywhere. We're a very strong and determined fandom. We have nothing to prove, and so should not be afraid of anything!

What should motivate us now? Love...and a dash of petty.
We don't need to terrify each other into buying or streaming or showing support with hashtags. We don't need to be terrified. I think we should, as a fandom, leave fear behind and go forward with positive expectations!

CONCLUSION
ARMYs, I really feel we're heading into an epic period. I'm really excited for the next comeback and beyond. I'm really excited to be wrapping up another year as part of this fandom and I'm sure if we work together, we can make 2020 our year as well.
