In COP24 last year, the Cdn government provided official support to the High Ambition Coalition’s pledge to increase its NDCs (Nationally Determined Contributions are efforts by each country to reduce national emissions and adapt to the impacts of CC)

and increase short-term action to achieve such pledges but no action has been taken yet. Canada's NDCs have not been ambitious enough to tackle climate change and they haven’t changed since the Harper government.
