That's not to say anything about anyone's right to own a gun, but the link between gun ownership and suicide or injury from negligent discharge is much stronger than the link between gun ownership and safety. Nobody thinks they're the idiot who will accidentally shoot themselves.
So what I'm saying is that this is America, you want a gun you can buy one, or two or ten. But, from numerous studies, it significantly raises the risk of some tragic outcomes.
