ā£ā£ā£āI met Gatsby about 6 months ago. He lived on my new mail route. I donāt know what it was, but he stole my heart from the second I spotted him.
Each day, as I delivered the mail, this sweet thing was outside just wagging away. It quickly became obvious that he was living in an alleyway between two homes. I felt so bad for him, he was totally and utterly neglected. He was dirty, dingy, and had cuts all over him.
He was out all day, in the severe heat, in the rain, and even during a hail-storm with no shelter. I would give Gatsby two treats every day as I passed by. Heād stand on his hind legs, tail wagging in excitement when he saw me cross the street. Iād yell,
āIām coming to see you, my sweet boy. Are you being a good boy today?ā Heād patiently wait for me to reach his house. This was our daily routine until a week ago when I noticed he wasnāt in the alley. As the days passed, I didnāt see him at all.
The temperatures were really dropping and hoped Gatbsyās owners finally let him inside. I drove up his street five or six times a day just looking for my Gatsby, but no luck! I cried every day as I passed his alley, every single day.
A few days ago, I saw a little boy standing in the doorway of Gatbsyās home. As I delivered their mail, I asked him, āwhereās your doggie?ā He said, āhe had to get shots, and now we canāt find him.ā
My heart sank, it was broken. I couldnāt help but fear the worse for my sweet boy. So, I started checking all the shelters and, finally, I found him at ACCT. Iād love nothing more than to adopt him, but itās not an option right now.
I really, really, love this sweet boy and want to help him find his forever home. He deserves to be loved and totally spoiled like he deserves. It was so heartwarming, down to my soul, to see him at the shelter today.
Heās such a big teddy bear. I couldāve stayed with him all day and plan to visit again, and again, until he finds a home. Please help me find my beautiful boy a home. With loveāā£ā£ā£
