Racialized folks doing anti-racist work are constructed as trouble-makers as white folks are un/learning. Then when white folks have un/learned "enough" to write/speak about it publicly, they erase those very racialzed ppl from the discourse.
This is known as interest convergence...racialized ppl& #39;s interests in achieving racial equity advances only when those interests "converge" with the interests of white ppl.
So racialized people endure the labour and hardship of anti-racist work, often at the expense of their personal and professional well-being, and white ppl take the credit by presenting this thinking as their own.
For white ppl doing this work: Name those who taught you. Recognize that your speech/workshop/book/blog/article that benefits your career, is because of someone else& #39;s oppression, intelligence and hard work.
Should this be considered a form plagiarism?
