We are in trouble because there are people who legit think only Bernie can save them and it’s just weird and creepy idolatry at this point.

Yes, I realize that writing books can be revolutionary. This man took three years and ghost wrote two books. Not the same as writing Das Kapital.

Also, the targets change, but the rhetoric stays the same.

Now people are countering criticisms about misogyny and Warren with “I’d vote for AOC” just as they countered criticisms about misogyny and Hillary with “I’d vote for Warren.”

And somehow, when it comes time to vote for AOC, there will be some other Bernie-esque white guy that these people will prefer and AOC will be the conniving neoliberal. “She’s been in Congress for so long. She’s establishment. Vote Buddy Bro 2028!”
