Unpopular opinion.

I see folks crying day in and day out about evangelism. Believe me, I have seen very bad effects of evangelism coming from a place where evangelism is rampant and almost unchallenged.
But the question that remains unanswered is faith in our systems is so weak among the everyday Hindu. This remains left unanswered. Why is a common Hindu's shraddha in Hindu sampradaya is so weak and in such complete shambles?
My silly little fattoo mind has no answers. It throws a wild guess that may be economic conditions contribute to this. Several examples in my own life.
Our flower vendor who without fail (even today) has been delivering flowers for my mother's daily puja for 3 decades - once a staunch Hindu - has been a Christian for about 5 years now. A severe strain on his financials drove him to join the church.
He did come out of his financial woes and believes strongly that his move was right. I asked my mother why she still continues buying flowers from him.
She told something that changed my view of this issue - "if we don't engage with him, we will never be able to impress upon the mistake that he did".
Legislation and blocking FRCA activities is not going to solve this difficult problem. We have to bring back shraddha among our own folks. That can come only after folks' economic situation improves and puts food on the table.
This problem needs a response from Hindus as a community. There is no political solution to this problem.
