ideological purity is a luxury we don’t have when other people’s lives are on the line. we can simultaneously recognize that the state is no friend to leftists and understand that we must operate within the framework that currently exists while we work to change it.

there is no right choice. there is no good option. whatever choice i make here is going to draw the ire of someone who has no idea what it means to have to make this choice.
but i don’t want the blood of a mass shooting on my conscience. i did what i felt i had to do.

when it comes to my own safety, i believe my community can protect me. but when i see someone making clear threats to commit or incite a mass shooting, unfortunately the state is probably still the only option.

there are a lot of armchair quarterbacks out there who clearly don’t know what it feels like to read an indictment in which a member of a terrorist organization is charged with plotting to blow up their friend’s home.

or to have to try to remember enough german to read an article about a member of a different nazi terrorist organization being arrested on his way to murder someone i love.

all i’m saying is a lot of y’all have never had to explain to your parents who the nazi doxxing them is and it shows.
