THREAD INCOMING👇🏾

I'm so excited to be running this for #VAULTfestival 2020, proudly supported by @NickHernBooks

You've got less than a week to apply, so here's some things to consider if you haven't got around to applying yet... https://twitter.com/VAULTFestival/status/1197923231644160000
2/ You should apply if:

You wouldn't have any other opportunity to explore an idea risk-free.

There's a few writing courses out there that you either have to apply for, or pay for. If you've never got onto one of those, or can't afford to pay then come say hi!
3/ You should apply if:

Yours is a voice we don't see represented on stage often enough, or even at all.

If you're struggling to see work by writers/makers like you, that reflect your experiences, then we want to give you the space to explore your story.
4/ You should apply if:

You're passionate about the possibilities of theatre.

I believe theatre should always be pushing boundaries. We should aim to be weirder, more exciting, more inclusive & definitely more innovative.

Tell me how you'd like to shake things up.
5/ You should apply if:

Have an idea that you can't stop thinking about.

Sometimes all it takes is a deadline to get you started. If you've got commitment issues and keep waiting for 'inspiration to strike' apply! I'll teach you how you can nurture inspiration.
6/ You should apply if:

You've written shorts but can't quite manage a full-length piece.

Whilst this course is aimed at beginners, transitioning from shorts to a full-length piece isn't just writing more text. It's about managing layers of storytelling. We'll tackle that.
7/ Passion & ideas have value. I can't guarantee you a commission, but I can promise you'll spend your time on the #newwritersprogramme reading, watching, analysing and writing as much theatre as possible!

I love our industry and I have to know that you do too.
8/ In short, if you've been sitting on the fence, thinking you're not experienced enough, please apply!

I can't wait to meet you all!
