Didn't want to do genocide related activities while here because I have done that before, and I am curious about what else lives here past the memories of death. So decided to visit Rwanda Art Museum. Arrived to find it' the former Presidential Palace Museum

The cab hailing app here is called Move. VW has a plant here, I think, so they partnered to have this car model as cabs. All are new.

You can use a boda though. Waaaay cheaper. They are called Motor

I am not really a solo travel person. I get lonely really quick. So imagine being lonely in another country.

Found myself at a place called Pili Pili on top a hill overlooking another hill. It's magnificent. Good food and service. A little pricier tho.

This country is strange tho. Their sockets are round. It is particularly quiet. They drive in the wrong side of the road from the wrong side of the car. They behind by an hour, so their sun sets at 5.30pm.

I am not complaining. Who'd complain at this?

Boss Lady decided to join me on a trip out of town. Destination? The shores of Lake Muhazi, one hour out of Kigali. There is a place called King Fish Resort.

After a 4-hour drive from Kigali to Gisenyi, through a countryside that looks like scene from a postcard, I arrived at Lake Kivu. Being hosted by the ever gracious @SerenaHotels.

It is overcast. But I am still in awe. I have a day here.

You see that land that is piercing into the waters of Lake Kivu? That's Goma, DR Congo. You can actualky get a 50 dollar visa and go and come back. It's just that sina time.

@lakekivuserena allowed me to take this one out for a morning spin on the waters of Lake Kivu. Got close to the border of DRC the turned back. It's just like driving a car, but on water.
