Not sure I find this very convincing. So it's the famous actors' fault because they hate female playwrights, not you? Did McAvoy really say "yeah, I'll do Cyrano, but not if a lady translates it"? Seems unlikely...
As this tweet gets more attention, I'll add that I'm not just trying to hate on JL, and I've no doubt the logistics of working in the West End are indeed very tricky, but I don't think 'too tricky to work with female writers' is really a thing.
Again, what do I know about commercial theatre, but I don't think you'll ever successfully diversify your audience if you're just serving up the same kind of stuff that was a hit before. Change up who you work with and your audience might well change too.
