I was casually ranting of how I don't want to go to office today as I only had reporting work and my house maid pointed out me I need not complain as all I do is sit in one place and press a few keys on the laptop. Is it all I actually do?

A fascinating question "Is mental work more taxing or physical work more taxing to the body?" I am sure @visakanv already has good thread on this but here are my two cents on the issue.
According to me it's not really if the work is physical or mental. It's more about what is the task and what the person thinks about the task. Let me eloborate on this.
I love my work and would come to work on a Sunday too. But make me sit in a class for one hour and I will more exhausted than me working at my office on a Sunday. A better example would be a mother and a child.
No matter how many things a parent needs to do for their kid, they would always be willing to do more because the love towards the child is so much and taking care of them gives them so much happiness.
Tracking back to the question, I feel if the work is carrying a stack of books up a flight of stairs for the person you hate the most, you are going to regret it and be damm tired at the end. But going am extra mile on a already exhausting day to surprise your loved one.
That would only make you happy. So the next time you feel tired or bored of the day. Try adding more things to your day that makes you happy and that would surely make a change in your life!
