Lovely ride on Coyote Creek Trail today, with almost everyone else smiling or saying hello.
And then
I pulled off the side of the trail to look at something
and soon learned I had found
a nest of goatheads.

I meticulously went over all three tires. Alas, the last thorn I pulled out of the rear wheel was accompanied by a burst of dust air.
So I turned around and rode like mad so there& #39;d be some air left in those tires by the time I got back to the car.

Not to be.
I pumped the rear tire about every mile of the 5 I had to do.
About a mile out the left tire started really losing it.
About 150 yards from the car I finally had to walk the trike. Why didn& #39;t I park in the closer lot?
Tomorrow: expecting a third flat.

I thought goatheads were only allowed to be in the southwest. Bah!
