I've been brought up to coast through life rather than take it by the horns, but I know I won't really be able to respect myself unless I change that. So I'm working on answering some tough questions for myself right now that I think will guide me into a path of betterment.
Instead of "what do I want out of life?", I'm starting from the point of "what struggles am I willing to accept?" That's not the easiest question to tackle head-on, so I'm reframing it a bit. First: "What beneficial accomplishments am I keeping myself from?" (aspirations/goals)
And second: "What things that I enjoy would I be willing to give up?" (time wasters/cop-out activities)
Then from there, I'll answer what *types* of struggles I'm willing to face, since it's hard to be too specific before facing specific things.

The idea is that I'll be able to string together a goal with it's related struggle(s) and time waster(s) to determine how best to set myself up for success.
I'm naturally a thinker but this should set me up for the necessary action that has been lacking.

New question to add: "What thing(s) must I do or accomplish in order to feel like my talents and potential are not wasted?"
