I've just had a (very new) community member message me, "I'm having a bad day".
I was asleep when I got the message.
After I woke up, I got another message, "fine, alone I'll be then."

Please, PLEASE don't do this to people, or the streamers that you watch.
I tried to explain to this person that I can't be available 24/7, but I'll be there when I can. Laying on the guilt to a perfect stranger for not responding immediately is pretty uncool, but I'm happy to chat when I can.

I'm now blocked by this person
Streamers aren't support workers, therapists, trained professionals in any way. We're people. Busy people.

I make EVERY effort to be there for those that need somebody to chat to, but unfortunately I can't be there every second of every day, for every single person.
I've always made it clear that my DMs are open, and I'll be there to talk as soon as I can.

I also have a "vents" section in my discord server for anybody to vent out what's happening to the community and get some advice if needed.
If you're having a bad day, I'm here for you. My whole community is here for you. We're very caring and supportive people and that's why I'm so proud of the group of people I'm surrounded by.

But please understand, we're just people too, and we can't always be there immediately
Streamers are people too.

Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
