As a journalist, it is important to be neutral. Nevertheless, you're entitled to an opinion and here is my takes on the Davis Cup this week.
- The passion player's have for the Davis Cup/representing their country is no different
- It wasn't a failure, but it wasn't great either

-Pique branding the event an 'absolute success' is inaccurate and misleading. Based on what information? How can such a statement be made when issues such as scheduling has arisen.
- Talk of a super cup is stupid. How can you plan this when there are issues with the new format.

-The new event has a solid ground for a team event, but I don't think it is the Davis Cup. I would have discontinued the Davis Cup and replace it with this event if I was Pique/Haggerty. It would cause outrage, but this is what has basically happened anyway.
-The problem is constantly comparing this to the old event. The ITF will never change their vote so there is no point going on about it.
-Pique gets a rough deal at times. Ok his company transformed the DC, but why so much criticism of him when Haggerty/ITF was just as involved.

- Everybody needs to look at the facts and figures of this week before making a final conclusion.
- Finally, having a 2020 Davis Cup draws hours before the 2019 final is just illogical.
