"will not compromise" and "not on the table" are not trade agreement terms. Perhaps someone could ask the Conservatives directly if they will refuse US asks on food non-tariff barriers and drug prices?
This is what the US wants - the Conservatives are implying they will not meet these demands, but not actually saying that - so the suspicions will continue that they'll be happy to sign up and explain away their words later
There's no real substance to Conservative commitments on trade - they want to conclude deals with 3 of the world's 4 largest economic powers by 2022, but with no commitment to oversight, and no obvious understanding of trade deals
It is reasonable to say that neither the Conservative or Labour manifesto has any serious trade policy content. More like, do stuff! and hope it's the right stuff! But whatever...
