It’s not “demonic” to oppose a corrupt president…

...it’s democratic.

Another quote: “Literally three years ago our economy was dead in the water…that’s a fact, that’s not our opinion." (Unemployment was 4.7% in 2016)

The fact that these two men of “faith” lie about...1/ https://twitter.com/JasonSCampbell/status/1197651976596709377
....the health of the economy when Trump took office and characterize the democratic process as "demonic" is not only indicative of the level of divisive religious toxicity that exists within the political system,...2/ https://twitter.com/Nick_Carmody/status/1187323408721137664
....but it exposes their anti-democratic, religious authoritarian instincts....3/ https://twitter.com/Nick_Carmody/status/1103256587391578112
....as we have seen repeatedly seen with the Attorney General Bill Barr: 4/ https://twitter.com/Nick_Carmody/status/1182998381146394624
Furthermore, the fact that Graham & Metaxas justify their fear-inducing support of Trump with increased tax exempt "profits", further exposes the corruption, the greed, and the toxic divisiveness that religion often uses to poison society/politics.....5/ https://twitter.com/Nick_Carmody/status/1161042929458151424
....and to cement record levels of evangelical support for an immoral/corrupt/sociopathic narcissistic....which has had the dual effect of exposing the universal cowardice of the Republican party, while also insulating Trump from legal accountability...6/ https://twitter.com/Nick_Carmody/status/1190950551632187392
Another example of the toxic effect of religion seeping into politics? The "God-given right" claim surrounding the mass shooting epidemic: https://twitter.com/Nick_Carmody/status/1170340061562302464
Authoritarianism: “enforcement of strict obedience to authority, at the expense of personal freedom”.

Religion uses threats and fears of eternal damnation to enforce obedience to religious authority (biblical literature, as well as the corrupt human element that leads them)…8/
….at the expense of the individual’s personal freedom to think critically, the freedom to question religious teachings, and the freedom to live their life free of religious judgment, condemnation, or oppression….9/
This is why it's extremely dangerous to have religion intertwined w/politics. Expecting the Christian Right to accept a dissenting political point of view is equivalent to expecting them to accept the co-existence of beliefs in a non-Christian God, or the absence of a God. 10/
When people who have been conditioned to accept/embrace an authoritarian belief system enter the political arena, it is inevitable that they will eventually weaponize their faith and their followers to create a political structure that mirrors their religious authoritarianism.11/
