So what is the first song that really got me into Robbie Williams. Well funny story, the day Robbie left Take That I was on the way to an interview at Leicester. So there were lots of songs of his around as I got to uni but it was...
"Strong" that resonanted with me. Just because at uni you're trying to do everything and being an amazing guy but you're not. So kind of felt like an anthem.

Looking back I probably was quite strong just didn't feel that way.
I also felt that being trans was a weakness and hid it as well as I could.

But then there was also "Phoenix from the flames". So many bad times and set backs. :o(

But listening to this left me feeling reborn. This was still before coming out as trans.
But to realise I could make mistakes, things could go wrong and come back stronger was kinda a strong feeling.

Then there were so many other songs and they all were great to listen to.

Most notably is "Better man" because I really tired to be one...
Ooops! :o) Still a good song.

After moving to NZ I constantly felt alone as Dr Wife was still in the UK. And this song was the one that really resonated and made me miss her so much but made me happy too. Because she really does know me.
But then Dr Wife got to NZ and shortly after Little Miss joined us. So then of course his "Go Gentle" was on my repeat list for a long time and still is.

Brings tears to my eyes to be honest. :o)
Then more recently "Difficult for Weirdos" came out, at a time when I'm working out who I am and that kinda helped.
Then for some reason "Shame" started playing in NZ supermarkets and well, it links back to the day I started going to look at universities in the UK. :o)
But now it's my 8th Christmas in New Zealand so it's quite awesome that his new Christmas album is out and it's a good one especially this version of Merry Christmas. :o)

Enjoy the Robbie fest everyone!
