I've been writing a tweet every day since June 2018.

Writing an email every day since April 2019.

Seems small. But the results add up.

I feel smarter, more creative & healthier than ever.

-Writing impacts thinking.

-Thinking impacts emotions.

-Emotions impact behavior.
Now you may be wondering how writing impacts health.

Writing alone may not impact health.

But the side effects can influence it.

That's the magic of cornerstone habits...👀👇
A cornerstone habit is one of those habits that spill over to other parts of your life.

If you think about it, all habits are cornerstone habits. But that's a thread for another time.
When I first created a Twitter, it was just to record my public speaking journey.

I restarted Toastmasters & wanted to share my insights.

The first month I tweets 100s of times a day. But stacked up a stunning 9 followers.
But the low follower count didn't matter.

What did matter was the impact that writing was having on my public speaking.

'Really??'

Yea, really.
Within 3 months of writing atleast a tweet a day, things changed.

☆it was much easier to think of speech ideas.

☆I was aware when I was rambling.

☆it was easier to connect ideas which seemed completely separate.
After noticing the impacts, I decided to continue.

Decided to add an email list to the mix as well.

Started off with weekly emails.

But then transitioned to daily.
A combination of those 2 simple acts were a game changer.

'Did you have days when you don't feel like writing?'

Sometimes.

Which is why I say write ATLEAST one tweet.
Technology & social media is what you make it.

I'm well versed in history.

So I know this is the greatest era of communications we ever lived in.

Our ancestors, past leaders & influencers would KILL for the things we take for granted.
Rather than using social media as a vehicle to bitch & whine...

Use it as a vehicle to 10x yourself.

Become a better communicator.

You literally have the platforms of your choice to wrap around your personality.
If you want to improve your body language, do youtube.

If you want to enhance writing, do twitter.

If you want to make your voice more musical, do a podcast.

Setting them up is easy.

Executing consistently is difficult.
What will make your journey easier to view 'content creation' as 'self discovery/creation.'

I know people who spend hours reading books to have content for their social media.

Although their intent is correct, their strategy is incorrect.
Why research the works of others?

Research yourself.

And when you need to fill in the gaps, then you can research the work of others.

My point is to make yourself the main character, rather than some bystander.
Mental toughness is about showing up day in & day out.

Most people get content when they figure out how to do the task.

And that's why they never reach greatness.

They never turned a 'trained act' into an instinct.

Great ones turn their desired skills into instincts.
My brand is all about communication skills.

So I put my time & energy into everything communications related.

I wanted to walk the talk.

So rather than reading, I created.

Now I've diversified onto YouTube, podcast, blog etc.

But it all began with a tweet & an email.
Ask yourself what you want to become great at.

Then find the skills you'll need to make that happen.

Got it?

'Yessir.'

Now find a way to incorporate it into a lifestyle.

It is no longer just an act.

But a way of being.
Writing about it daily, will help you.

It will make the lessons learned in your practice sessions stickier.

The stickier the lessons, the more the subconscious mind listens.

START SMALL.

And gradually build up.
'You believe in miracles Armani?'

I believe in staying consistent for long enough.

The best is yet to come.

But you need to execute on the small things & be allergic to excuses.
Compound effects are one of the greatest things to happen in the universe.

Take advantage of it.

You never know how your life can change forever by incorporating one tiny new habit.
