I'm not sure why these emails about Trident Acquisitions' meeting with Sec. Perry were included in the State docs obtained by @weareoversight – maybe because of the reference to Yovanovitch's attendance? – but there's another reason I've been curious about Trident in Ukraine;
On July 26, after a too-quick tender process, Ukraine awarded Trident a valuable offshore gas block, and then on Sept 11 abruptly canceled the contract. That's... awarded the day after the Zelensky call, and rescinded the same day the security aid was released.

I have questions.
Coincidence? Sure, absolutely could be.

But also – perhaps again coincidentally – one of the competitors for the Dolphin offshore block that Trident beat out for the contract just happens to be owned by someone who shares an attorney with the President of the United States.
And even if it IS a coincidence that Pavel Fuks hired Giuliani as his lobbyist, it shows how damaging Giuliani's role in Ukraine is.

The same day Ukraine canceled a gov't award – giving Fuks' company a chance to try again on the contract – the Trump admin released the aid money.
It's a gross conflict of interest, whether it impacted the tender here or not.

Hunter Biden's position in Ukraine *was* a problem, for the appearance of conflict caused. But Giuliani's role is so much more insidious, with him as both private gun-for-hire and as State Dept rep.
