I really identify with @ComicBookSchool's 2nd " #MakeComics Challenge: Comics to Recommend to Non-Traditional Comic Readers” i.e. me not-so-long ago as a not-so-regular reader before wanting to make #Comics! (1/6) #MakeMineIndie #ComicBookSchool
1st pick is #Fables by @BillWillingham, published by @vertigo_comics, “NYC’s most well-kept secret” #SoapOpera of fairytale characters which proved #MediumNotGenre to me -- be anything, set anywhere one wishes. (2/6) #MakeMineIndie #ComicBookSchool
I only would've discovered my 2nd pick, #Skullkickers by @JimZub (published by @ImageComics) by asking for some'em similar in @FPNYC...and this #HighFantasy, action #BuddyComedy certainly did the trick! (3/6) #MakeMineIndie #ComicBookSchool
And then, 3rd home-run pick came via #SpaceMullet by @danielwarrenart, a #Webcomic collected and published by @DarkHorseComics, where a regular-joe/ex-[space-]marine gets his own #SpaceOpera. (4/6) #MakeMineIndie #ComicBookSChool
4th, BONUS pick comes from digital publisher @webtoon, #TheDaneMen by @TheDaneMen bringing everything for me full circle of what the #Comics medium can do by way of this #SilentComic's witty what-a-twists! (5/6) #MakeMineIndie #ComicBookSchool
Again, thanks @ComicBookSchool for this 2nd challenge! I had forgotten I too was once a non-traditional a.k.a. not-so-regular reader...so now, as a #Creator I want to discover, and hopefully contribute to more great break-in reads. (fin/6) #MakeMineIndie #ComicBookSchool
