I am getting a lot of DMs about Work for A Million. So let me be clear. I believe victims. I am against sexual assault. I am a survivor of sexual assault. Work For A Million will no longer be published by Bedside Press. (1/ 6)
None of the creators nor people involved in working on the book have ANYTHING to do with the current situation. Eve who wrote the novel and her wife Ottie are both amazing people who deserve to see this dream come true. (2/6)
Our team has worked for almost a year on the graphic novel adaptation. My script is done. I'm proud of it. Selena has done beautiful, amazing art. There are only 5 pages left to draw. Ed has just a little lettering left. The book is almost done and it means a lot to me (3/6)
Steenz, who was our amazing editor has stepped away until it moves elsewhere. She's been amazing to work with. I have been assured your kickstarter will be fulfilled and that we will be able to do so without you feeling you are supporting assault. (4/6)
I really hope that when this book is published by someone else you will continue to support the mostly queer women who have worked hard to create it. Work For A Million was a groundbreaking lesbian detective noir novel & I am SO EXCITED for you to see it as a graphic novel. (5/6)
I am upset any of this happened in the first place & heartbroken to think it could do further damage to other innocent creators who've worked hard to tell marginalized stories. I'll do everything in my power to prevent that. Again this project WILL NOT be with Bedside Press(6/6)
