Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad Library of BHU - Named after princely ruler of erstwhile Vadodara State of Guj. He gave generous donations for the foundation of this library. It isn't uncommon to hear older people in Uttar Gujarat desiring Gaekwad state over Secular republic of India!

Maharaja Krishnaraja Wodiyar of Erstwhile princely state of Mysore. HE was the first Chancellor of the BHU. People still have fondly memory of "Rama Rajya" of Rajarshi Maharaja

Maharaja Umaid Singh of Jodhpur - Donated 1 lakh ruppes for foundation of the BHU. He also endowed Chair of Technology with endowment of Rs 24000 a year

Kashi Naresh - Maharaja Prabhu Narayan Singh. BHU stands today on the 1300 acres of land donated by this erstwhile princely ruler of Kashi

Maharaja Rameshwar Singh of Raj Darbhanga. Donated 50 lakhs of rupees for the foundation of the BHU. Played leading role along with Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya in realizing the dream of Hindu university to the reality
