The word "centrist" is a bullshit thing, created by a bunch of white dudes because they correctly realized a lot of ppl don't need nuance and complicated good critical thinking. They just need a reason without explanation that sounds good w/out any evidence that it's true.

The idea that "they are the same" is actually a Republican narrative, co-opted by the far left and frankly they shld have their butts kicked for creating such a harmful stupid false narrative. It's lazy fucking thinking.

Bill Clinton practiced the 3rd way for approximately two years of his presidency at which time he began to shift a bit. This shift continued throughout his presidency. The 3rd way has been dead for many many years. It's ridiculous to even use it as an argument now.

The practices with Israel and the middle east in general, including the terrible treatment of Palestinians is actually something that Dems are split on and frankly, it's not a reason to primary the entire Dem caucus, some of whom disagree w/it.

That's a foundational issue that needs to be re-litigated and discussed among Dems. I find far left often fall into antisemitism very very easily when they discuss this stuff and that needs to be fucking squashed as well. Another country's behavior is not a reason for bigotry.

However, MOST of the practices w/Israel and our gov are founded within the Republican party and so whatever happens after the Republican party that is not facist fuckheads will have to have that discussion, too.

Representation is very important. On the other hand, I am not represented as a woman by Nikki "I'm a traitor" Haley. We shld all keep in mind that our representation needs to be consistent w/our beliefs. It is also true that I have a very small (but present) privilege on that.

Snake oil is snake oil, no matter how well it's packaged and how well it's delivered to the masses. When something miraculous is promised, it's usually bullshit. Ppl fall for it when they are vulnerable in a number of ways or when they are feeling guilty abt something.
