Who is this Scottish upstart
Whose truth endears their rage
Who faultlessly, well almost,
Commands this British stage
Whose enigmatic wit and charm
Who perpetrates her task
With an ease so unbecoming
To her foes who wear a mask.

Elegant with pride she stood
Seeking no acclaim
Yet answered in her truest form,
Unfettered without shame
She embraced their deep emotions
With the utmost of respect
And swayed not from one query
With a superior intellect.

She took on, what is, Britain’s best
And exacted on them, thoughts
And left with some admiring friends
Who wrote of jealousy of Scots
Like them, I think, that we are blest
To have a woman such as she,
To govern as we know she can,
To lead The SNP.

And to lead an Independent Scotland
Where our sovereignty rules
Where we will make our choices
And not by Westminster’s fools.
This audience had warmed to her
And they heard here first hand
A revered Scots politician
Who seeks freedom for her land.

One who seeks no airs and graces
But only wants what should be ours
The prize of Independence
Where we hold all the powers
Yet the wonders of the human mind
Never cease to show their rage
Denying all they witnessed
The night our FM ruled that stage.
