I woke up like many of you the morning after Trump’s election shocked, upset, and scared about our future. But I also had a meaningful personal role to reckon with in his campaign, which has taken years of self reflection & growth to come to terms with.
Ultimately, I concluded that the best way to move on from the shadow of 2016 was to speak up, contribute my time and talents to the fight to defeat him, and finally stand up for the values that have never been more important to me. So that& #39;s what I& #39;m doing.
I left FB after six years committed to the mission of connecting the world, & am proud to be joining a new team who have dedicated themselves to fighting for other people using the tools and tactics I helped pioneer.
What excites me about working with @anotheracronym is the opportunity to use the skills I’ve gained over my career to help understand how to cut through manipulation/misinformation and talk convincingly about the need for a different path forward for our country.
As a straight, white, affluent American man, I’m resilient to much of the worst of @realdonaldtrump & not in immediate danger of being deported, assaulted, evicted, fired, or bankrupted bc of who I am (& who HE is).
But an attack on one is an attack on all
