I’m on my third watch through & I have so many thoughts. The almost manic hype over Harry, especially here on stan Twitter, is always very in your face & kind of the prevailing mood across the board & he tends to live up to it. But what’s so refreshing about this interview https://twitter.com/zanelowe/status/1197990713092276224
& interviews like the ones he did with @robsheff & @CameronCrowe is it kind of solidifies this very grounded, human, & almost quiet love for Harry as a person. He’s beautiful, talented, & charismatic of course, but these windows into him as a person really highlight his goodness.
I spoke about this with @hannasmiled last night. When he speaks about his mum @MrsAnneTwist and says she’s not really one for a soundbite of advice & is more someone to really watch as a living example, he is very much that way himself. I think people can be so dismissive of
goodness. This world is so ugly & you can find bad people on every corner & yet completely dismiss the good and Harry is very much the good. In the way that he treats people & carries himself, he is very much a light. And that’s not to say he’s perfect or should be placed on
a pedestal. I’m not much for fame or for using the term “idol” because at the end of the day, we’re all just people. But I think people who are good and are lights in spite of what’s happening around them and continue to be steady in their goodness should be appreciated.
And us as fans shouldn’t just bask in his light and demand him to continuously shine, but we should reflect that light into the dark corners of our lives and onto other people in our lives in hopes that the light just continues to shine beyond us. I think fans can spend a lot of
time trying to fill in the blanks when we should really just be accepting the light and the goodness we’ve been given and spreading that beyond us. Thank you for sharing your heart and your talents, @Harry_Styles. I’m genuinely rooting for you as a musician and a person x
