So! Labour have just knocked on my door, and I asked them how women would be protected given the manifesto - could not answer this as has not read any part of it concerning women. So! Decided to roll back and ask a very simple question - what is a woman? This was met with....
‘Well, that’s a complicated question’ I told him it wasn’t and asked it again. At this point I was told that it was complicated - so I said if he couldn’t define what a woman was then how would labour protect me going forward if they won the election.

Aggressive and he put his hand out and said he was leaving my driveway. So I decided to follow him back to the gaggle of door-knockers and asked the woman who was giving out house numbers why I was rudely called aggressive when all I had done was ask perfectly reasonable
Questions. She told me she couldn’t define a woman (so I did remind her she came out of one) and I asked her if she thought it was right that men who self-identify should be allowed in to women’s single sex safe spaces as defined by the #EA2010 she said yes. I gave her the stats
Of men who do not have surgery and she still said yes. I gave her violence and sexual violence stats and she said she was in favour of ‘transgender’ rights - I told her I did not hate transgender people but as a woman I needed to know I could be protected going forward.
She basically batted me off and I had to walk away as I was furious.
