Some thoughts on why corbyn is so deluded and has ended up surrounded by such problematic people - as trump is Putin’s “useful idiot”, so corbyn is a useful idiot for people like mcdonnel, mcluskey and milne as they try to impose their ideology on us.

corbyn isn’t the statesman that he pretends to be. He is stupid (deeply), an ideologue and categorically unable to see alternate points of view - hence his much vaunted & basically disastrous so-called “peacemaking” - and of course he’s a rancid antisemite #LabourAntisemitism

As for Ireland and the Middle East - he only EVER speaks to one side (trained mediators shudder), and comes to the table as a partisan spokesman for “his” side, be it IRA or Hammas/Hezbollah (or trying to takeover the anti apartheid movement for his own political ends).

This is deeply unhelpful. The combination of low intelligence with a devotion to ideological purity and “groupthink” has meant this arrogant, but easily led, man has strayed into some very problematic (in fact outright racist) tropes and prejudices. He labels people

(“billionaires bad - despite the philanthropy and genuine contribution of some; “Israel bad” - because of what must have started as genuine sympathy for Palestinians but has as usual morphed into supporting the worst extremists; even worse, in his limited view, “Jews bad” because

many, many Jews AND others fully support Israel’s right to exist and defend its citizens) without consideration of individuality. So, this limited, blinkered man has been told (incorrectly) that he is ‘clever’ (demonstrably not) and ‘has good ideas’...

and his ego is strong enough to swallow this pablum whole. This has defined his “career” in politics - a litany of loony left (see 1980s) conspiracies and backstabbing (much of it by his cronies) designed to propel him to ever greater roles.

Roles he is temperamentally and intellectually unfit for. The cult of corbynism has gathered a panoply of true believers, conspiracy theorists, outright anarchists and people who hold deeply abhorrent views - much like their counterparts on the extreme right.

It has given us a Labour Party rife with institutionalised antisemitism, institutionalised misogyny and economic naïveté (being generous). And because corbyn has been told for years by these people that he is right and just and glorious, he cannot see the very real flaws...

in his followers. After all, they think he is wonderful, so they must be good chaps, right? But they are not. They include Holocaust deniers, people who deny the right of Jewish people to a homeland, people who indulge in sickening racist hatred, celebrating the deaths of Jews,

and all because this vain, stupid man won’t chastise or excommunicate those who follow him so slavishly (often very clearly for their own ends). It is a trumpian blindness, a trumpian cult of personality, that - whilst interesting psychologically- has been shown in the US

to be absolutely disastrous as a method of governing a country. The two ends of the horseshoe are touching, and there is little to choose between trump’s ugly racist cult and corbyn’s cult so viciously bullying anyone who doesn’t worship “dear leader”.

It is however the betrayal of Britain’s Jews which bites so hard: when corbyn sulks about reparations for various historical events, I very much doubt he includes the Jewish people in that litany of historic wrongs -

regards Jews as “privileged” despite the hatred and abuse they suffer and therefore to his limited mindset, they cannot be worthy of empathy and understanding. This blinkered approach means that he can NEVER be trusted in a position of power in this country. #EnoughIsEnough
