A simple, sharp & effective prose on the Xtian conceptual framework behind anti-brahmanism & some of its most famous proponents.
Journal Article: “Mantras of Anti-Brahmanism: Colonial Experience of Indian Intellectuals”, Raf Gelders & William Derde (2003)
The article specifically deals with the issue of Indian intellectuals for having completely absorbed the Xtian theological framework. It is a refreshingly good & sincere piece of prose on this topic.+
The authors even find this aping of colonial critiques of brAhmaNas tragic. Perhaps, what’s more tragic is that a couple of Westerners would find this tragic while dozens of our Indian “intellectuals” would not.
Just take 5-7 minutes & read every line of the above screenshots. Some Hindus here support certain organizations, which promote the “orientalist” (see screenshot) narrative of “golden Vedic age, brahmanical degeneration”: Ask yourselves what is the root of such thinking.
And answer that question honestly for yourselves.
