Hey #lawtwitter who grew up below the poverty line and/or still have family below the poverty line, how do you navigate the the feeling of being an imposter in your workplace, esp. if you are employed on Bay Street?
I have been having a really hard time lately. I saw my mom last week and she is nearly 60 years old, working on a factory assembly line in Scarborough and lifting items way to heavy for her age.
I make decent money as an articling student, but I feel guilty for not being able to do more and get her out of this situation. It makes me question my identity and my very belonging in my legal profession. I would appreciate any advice or tips that #legaltwitter has to give.
