Weirdest thing about teaching first-year writing is confronting & calming the terror instilled in students about citation format.

Has anyone ever submitted a manuscript for publication that's 100% accurate re: citation style?

Really don't get the emphasis on rule-following.
Also, Chicago Style is very dumb is my hottest citation take.
