📅 On this day one year ago, Caversham United, a tiny Reading Sunday League team, featured as @ASRomaEN’s Team of the Day.

We had around 700 followers then (now closing in on 6000) and we couldn’t have done it without them.

Here’s a thread of why @ASRomaEN are the Twitter GOAT. https://twitter.com/asromaen/status/1065894536734490624
Team of the Day.

Although it’s ‘just one mention’, it’s not really. It’s massive. Team of the Day exposed our little club to the world!

We could name many clubs we’ve met because of Team of the Day but just a few are @MerseyRoyalGFC, @monte_prstaff, @cpdsoccer & those tagged👇
Furthermore, @ASRomaEN were the reason we took to these Twitter streets initially - inspired by their engagement with the fans.

Then they supported @SaintAnthonysFC and gave them a huge springboard last October.

This relationship gave us the hunger to connect with other clubs!
When they’re not busy connecting clubs worldwide and delivering savage replies on the timeline, @ASRomaEN have also down countless pieces of charity work and supported our own #CavershamCup with raffle donations.

Maybe the next #CavershamCup will feature more Team of the Days!
To finish this thread off, we would like to publicly thank @ASRomaEN for their help in sharing the word about the Billy Goats and our fellow clubs around the world.

The work you do is not unnoticed and we are very grateful to you.

You are the true goats, Roma. 👊🐐
