The Conservative Party has not defined or developed a policy on social care in time for this election. £5bn over 5 years to rescue councils after austerity shattered care is good but not a vision for a fast growing ageing population and a fast shrinking young one.

Care minister told me it’s too important to be a political football and any new Tory govt wants to work with other parties to design the so far absent policy. Groundhog Day. If Brexit is too important to fudge so is Social Care.
