The storytelling & cultural narratives are gorgeous, and the writing and production are on point. The characters keep unfolding. It pokes fun all over.

It’s a JOY to watch.

The intersection of tech and media access is so interesting here. This show is produced in Mexico , popular all over Latin America , and I can stream it on my couch in NYC.

What does that scale do to the type of media one makes? What do you do with that power?

Context: in 2008, I studied abroad in Central Mexico. I lived in a dorm. My roommates & I would watch Rebelde, a telenovela, together every week.

When I got home, a friend mailed me a box of black market Rebelde DVDs. It took a month to arrive. That was the only way to see it.

Now I can stream a popular, current Mexican telenovela on my couch after work in the U.S.

Monolo Caro, the creator, is a genius. He’s my age. I am in awe.
