On this day in 2017, the second presidential petition was dismissed. Thousands of Jubilee supporters poured on the streets, to celebrate. The SC judges were unanimous: Uhuru KENYATTA won it with 98.26% of the votes cast. 🐜🐜
The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chairman Wafula Chebukati had declared President Uhuru Kenyatta winner of the October 26 repeat presidential election. Uhuru had garnered 7,483,895 votes out of the 7,616,217 valid votes cast. 😂😆
Voting did not happen in 25 constituencies in Homa Bay, Siaya, Migori, and Kisumu where opposition supporters (read Luos) boycotted the vote entirely. Attempts by IEBC to forcefully conduct the election were bravely thwarted. This was my proudest day as a Luo 💪👍🏻
The repeat presidential poll was made possible through an evil collusion between Dr. Ekuru Aukot and Jubilee. Ekuru sold us down the road. Ekuru knew IEBC could not conduct a credible poll but was too deep in Jubilee machinations to care. He gave Uhuru a pyrrhic victory. 😥😓
Another peripheral player was Abraham Mutai ( @itsMutai) who found a golden opportunity to make money with our petition. He played us at the court of appeal. @Awelejack, hope the lesson will never be lost on us (a case belongs to the petitioner😂). @NelsonHavi
Why did ODINGA boycott? Here:

“I don’t have to always be on the ballot, but I want my candidate or whoever will be on the ballot to participate in a free and fair contest. There is no need of going to an election whose outcome is already predetermined,” ~ Raila ODINGA.
Those who celebrated on this day? How is the ride? Those of you who were sad, do you today feel better? 😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
