1/ Minimization of Toxicities: @oncology_bg so well said. Probably the most important language bias for our pts’ health is the incredible minimization of tox. If we misjudge the tox impact on patients’ lives, we also misjudge the balance of benefit vs harms

2/ Minimization of Toxicities: You article lists many concerning examples, the worst: Fatal tox (in healthy trial pts), yet tox were described as ‘manageable’. Or trial has many high gr tox (with many non-heme tox) physicians still call it safe or tolerable.

3/ Minimzation of Toxicities: @oncology_bg your article also helped me clarify in my mind, we can only call a therapy tolerable/acceptable, if we actually have pts' PRO data on their tolerability judgement, mental & physcial functioning.
4/ Minimization of Tox: Another how we downplay: Toxicity death vs #Cancer. Individuals I greatly respect, get excited if drug 1-2% OS⬆️, but barely notice if mostly non-toxic supportive care >2% OS⬆️ in healthy trial pts (so even at lower risk for fatal tox than RWE).
