One thing I never and can& #39;t do is & #39;drag& #39; books and authors. A Book has a life of its own and its the writer& #39;s responsibility to make it clear to me the reader. I will read it, get attached to the storyline and characters. It& #39;s takes a while for me to move on to another book.
But I do get a bit scared sometimes especially with some local books. When there& #39;s grammatical errors, no editing, poor execution and no use of character development, I get worried. I& #39;m not sure if there will ever be a bad book in my eyes because not all stories will be for you.
This is where I think of the price of the book and remember that S.A is one of the most unequal societies. So black writers and publishers have it worse. They can& #39;t even invest in their creativity and study because bills, bills, bills.I can critique but I& #39;m also going to praise...
South African female writers. It takes courage and for you to put your work out must have not been easy. If I enjoyed the book, I& #39;ll definitely tweet about it and share it. I just wish we had Nathi Mthethwa would pull through for creatives!! He has a role to playhttps://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="‼️" title="Double exclamation mark" aria-label="Emoji: Double exclamation mark">https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="‼️" title="Double exclamation mark" aria-label="Emoji: Double exclamation mark">
However, if I don& #39;t like the cover of the book, I will not buy it. If I& #39;m not moved, I won& #39;t even mention the disappointment and this is where it gets tough. Should I tell you the author ukuthi there are things I didn& #39;t like or is it that the book was just not for mehttps://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🤔" title="Thinking face" aria-label="Emoji: Thinking face">kunzima.
