One thing I never and can't do is 'drag' books and authors. A Book has a life of its own and its the writer's responsibility to make it clear to me the reader. I will read it, get attached to the storyline and characters. It's takes a while for me to move on to another book.
But I do get a bit scared sometimes especially with some local books. When there's grammatical errors, no editing, poor execution and no use of character development, I get worried. I'm not sure if there will ever be a bad book in my eyes because not all stories will be for you.
This is where I think of the price of the book and remember that S.A is one of the most unequal societies. So black writers and publishers have it worse. They can't even invest in their creativity and study because bills, bills, bills.I can critique but I'm also going to praise...
South African female writers. It takes courage and for you to put your work out must have not been easy. If I enjoyed the book, I'll definitely tweet about it and share it. I just wish we had Nathi Mthethwa would pull through for creatives!! He has a role to play

However, if I don't like the cover of the book, I will not buy it. If I'm not moved, I won't even mention the disappointment and this is where it gets tough. Should I tell you the author ukuthi there are things I didn't like or is it that the book was just not for me
kunzima.
